When i recieve a Calender invite it is automatically accepted?

I'm having this same problem. My wife sent me calendar invites and I said I hadn't received them. Only I had -- I just never got a notice that I was invited. iCloud just automatically added the appointment to my calendar. I'd like to have a little more control than that....
Did you check Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars/ if "accept invitations" is deactivated?
I cant fine the option you have decribed, closest thing i see is 'new invitation alerts'?
My fault, this is only to sound the alarm if you get an invite.😊 I don't get invitations, because I did not subscribe to any calendars. This seems to be the only way not to get some.
But there is a "respond" button right next to the Mounth view button, did you try this one?
Yep, when i hit this button to view new invitations the status already says accepted. My friends on the other hand says nothing next to it and once selecting gives the options of accept/maybe/decline.
A little further investigation may reveal the answer: I had "Automatically retrieve CalDav invitations from Mail" turned on in my desktop iCal program settings (under "Advanced"). Turning that off seems to now give me the option to view the invitation before accepting.
How do i stop Calender invites from automatically accepting?
