Yahoo! email not pushing

I'm having the same problem. After installing iOS5 last night, I cannot get my mail on my phone. It shows old messages but will not notify or show new messages. I know they are there -- cause I can get to them on the computer but they are not pushing to the phone. I even deleted the yahoo mail account and re-added it. No change. Anyone got a fix?

Same issue for me. I was able to pull a message using search on server, but cannot receive new messages even though I see them on web-mail. I have also tried deleting and re-adding the account.

I have the same problem. I have deleted the acount and created it new several times on my phone but it still doesn't work. Surely someone has a suggestion and/or fix. This is frustrating as I rely on my iphone for receiving the bulk of my emails.

I am also having the same problem. I have a support email into yahoo but haven't heard back yet. Some research I've done says it's possible that onlyYahoo Plus may work with this. I guess Yahoo has dome some work to make an iPad and iPhone-like interface. If I get a response from yahoo, I'll add it to this thread.

My wife and I both have iPhone4 and we own an iPad. We both have yahoo email accounts. MikVG may be on to something. I have upgraded my yahoo email to the latest version and my wife did not. She likes yahoo email in the old format. My yahoo account works on my phone and on iPad. My wife cannot retrieve any email earlier than September 14 on her phone or the iPad. My yahoo email works and her yahoo email does not on the very same iPad. I'll have to convince her to try the latest yahoo email and see if that solves the problem.

Got the OK from the wife, upgraded to the latest version of yahoo mail for her and.....didn't work. Very frustrating.

i had same problem. i checked my network settings and found my password was missing. i reset it and then was able to connect to my yahoo mail just fine

forgot to mentioned, when i fixed the password on my iPhone, which i had upgraded to ios5, it fixed the same problem i was having on my iPad which i have not upgraded. wierd!

Yes I am having the same problem! after upgrading to iOS5 , yahoo mail in my iphone wont push n show emails later than september 22nd! anyone got around the problem? Cant receive new yahoo emails in my ios5 iphone now 😟

Mark, what do you mean by password in network settings?

When I tried to check my emails, I could not connect to yahoo mail. I kept getting the message that the phone could not connect to the yahoo mail server. I just happen to go to settings / wifi and checked what network I was connected to. When i did, i found the password was missing. When I reset the password, I was able to get my iPhone to connect to the yahoo mail server. It maybe that the phone is unable to connect to the router. Sorry, I am not being more helpful with all the right tech terms. You need a password to log on to your email. You also need a password when you log onto your Internet through the router
