Good morning. Getting my mail now! Maybe it was something with yahoo? Woke up and all is well. All mail received

I'm having the same problems.  Just to be safe, I deleted my Yahoo Mail account and tried to reconnect it.  I get a popup window that says "Verification Required. Log into your Yahoo! Account at www.yahoo.com"

The problem is, there's no place on Yahoo to verify anything.  This is really frustrating.

Exactly!  I've been whining about this yahoo issue for awhile now.  The intermittent problems are constantly annoying,  ;).  weird sentence I know.  LOL.  But seriously, this has been on for me intermittently for months!  Things not appearing in the sent box, orders of messages incorrect, and unable to send messages.  It is quite annoying!!  And now I wonder about the new iPhone I just ordered.  Why has this not been fixed since this has been a known issue for months?

I'm having the same problem and I can't load my email from my Yahoo account later than Sept 22nd and I tried many different things like delete and reinstall the account and so far no joy at all. Very frustrating... I thought changing for this ios 5 would be a great thing and now I see it is not. I want my yahoo email on my iphone 4 otherwise I don't want to use apple products anymore if we are going to be held hostage with this new icloud idea! Anyone know what should i do? thanks

I fixed Yahoo Mail on my 3GS with iOS 5:  In Settings, "Mail, Contacts, Calendars", I reduced "Show" to "50 Recent Messages"

It had been set to "200 Recent Messages"

I also have an Exchange and MobileMe account setup on the phone.

I guess that there is not enough memory or something with iOS 5 on some devices to hold 200 Recent Messages from multiple accounts.

    Hope this helps!

I am having same issues as above.  hour on phone with apple support lead me to restoring phone, which made me refresh everything back to status in middle of august, so I had to reinstall a lot of things.  Reset all passwords to wireless networks which they said it wouldn't do after I told them that it did the last time I had to do this.  I have reinstalled my yahoo mail account several times as well as changing the push/fetch settings multiple times.  Apple finally tried to tell me that they have given me every possible troubleshooting idea and that it might be a problem with the hardware and that I might need to replace the phone (3GS), however, everything was working fine before the software upgrade.  They then told me to contact Yahoo, who apparently has no customer support since all of their phone numbers send you to an automated line as well as redirect you to their "Help" page on the website.  Yahoo has some pretty terrible business practices.  If it is true that only their plus version works with ios 5 then they failed as well.  My mail gets everything from sept 21st and one email from oct 6.  so very weird.

Well now I know it's Yahoo or Apple...because I had the problem on my iPad2 to start and I just got my new iPhone 4S in the mail and I'm getting the same problem.  It's telling me to go to Yahoo to verify.

Come on Apple!  Chime in on this!

I was having issues with Yahoo email not pushing. I kind of got it fixed. I've narrowed down my problem to always having the mail app running in the backround. Before iOS 5 I would always close all my apps from multitasking and my emails would still push.

After updating to iOS 5, my emails were not pushing. I tried deleting the account from my iPhone 3GS, then re-adding it. Also hard resets and toggling the push switches.

After annoying my wife asking her to send countless test emails, I realized they were only getting pushed with my mail app running in the background (not being closed in multitasking).

I would like to have Mail closed and still getting pushed because I'm kind of OCD like that, but for now this will have to do.

By the way, I don't have E-Mails in my Notification Center. That's the next thing I'm going to test to see if that has any affect.

Suddenly it's working well again, as it used to be

I don't have a yahoo acct that I use on my iphone but recently I did have the issue of my network password suddenly needing to be re-entered for some unknown reason. It never said anything about the password being missing just that it couldn't connect. Husband had the same issue a few weeks later but neither of us have had issues since.

mine was also doing this, only pushed email from sept 29 2011 on back. then in the last hour or so it randomly started getting all mail. very weird. i didnt change any settings or anything. must just be a bugged between the new ios and yahoo.

maybe we just have to sleep on it. my new emails suddenly shows up after waking up this morning. :s didn do any changes to any settings. **** BUGS!

  • NaviGATR Level 1 Level 1 (0 points)

Woke up this morning and my email still doesn't show anything before Mid-September.

This is pretty major.  Not just an annoyance. Yahoo is my primary mail. How the heck do we escalate this?
