    Just sent Yahoo! Customer Care another email for an update.

    Dear Customer Care,

     

     

    Another month has gone by since your last email. The issue remains unresolved.

     

    I would like an update on this please. Yahoo! has literally taken months and months on this but still unable to resolve the problem. I have had emails sent back and forth with your colleagues over the course and each time the response is more or less the same -- "Sorry, we will try to fix it as soon as possible; please be patient!" Can someone please explain when can this be resolved for good?

    for me i have the same problems with my old iPhone 4S on 5.0.1 and on 5.1.1

     

    Yesterday I received my new iPhone 4S from apple care

     

    i have started with a new iPhone not restore with my backup

     

    same problems push not working

     

    i have try a dummy acount not working for me

     

    do you have the email address of yahoo for send an email?

    Seeing the same problem with yahoo and iphone 4 on ios5 in our household. Push stopped working sometime ago for yahoo mail.

     

    On the positive side, yahoo has finally fixed the yahoo calendar sync issue, that took almost a year of complaining in numerous threads across many forums.

    I've posted in this topic months ago and it hasn't worked for months. I've contacted them numerous times and just get the runaround. I'm glad I checked this thread because the dummy account is working for me so far. It's completely aggravating. It has absolutely nothing to do with 5.1.x. It wasn't working before I upgraded and still doesn't. I forwarded my mail to @me account and it pushed fine. But then if I want to save emails I have to turn the forwarding off and send them back to my yahoo account. So I'm hoping this dummy account deal fixes it longer than a couple of hours.

    Yahoo! replied. The problem remains unresolved and they are still working on it.

     

    They gave me a list of things to check. None of them help. Still, I have appended the reply to the end of this post.

     

    So far what has worked for some of us here appears to be adding a dummy Yahoo! Mail account. It doesn't work for me though.

    As an iOS developer, I have installed iOS 6 to my iPad. Since it is not a public release, it is a bit buggy. However, Yahoo! Mail has been pushing for a couple of days since the new installation. I will continue to test it in the coming days.

    I did log the problem with that link - again. I'm wondering why the dummy doesn't work for you. I tried adding an alias and a brand new different account and both worked.

    The dummy account doen't work for me. What has worked is iOS 6, which is not a public release. I hope it keeps on working.
