E-mail not working after moving to iCloud

On my mac, I get the following message in Mail:


The iCloud IMAP server “p99-imap.mail.me.com” rejected the password for user “jt1bates”

Enter your password again or cancel.


Even after I re-enter my password, I get the same message again.


Also - mail is not working on my iphone as well. Here I get the following message. It says the user name or password is incorrect.



What is going on?

I'm in the same boat. All systems were working this morning now iCloud mail isn't working on mac or iPhone. I'm on the same p99 server so I'm assuming it's an issue with the server and thats why there aren't more complaints. Hopefully they'll get it rectified soon.


I've also noticed that I'm able to login through iCloud.com just fine but once in none of the "find my i..." services are working. Says everything is offline when I know in fact it isn't.


Is there any way to report this?

I too was working just fine this am and now am getting the same error. I changed my password and it still will not let me access my email. I can see my calender in icloud but no email. Right now I'm in the hurt locker till this gets fixed. I had a .mac email address but my apple id is a .me address. icloud will not let you change this as it defaults to .mac. hmmmmm.
