Ditto - more than an hour now and Apple - Hint - It's no good telling it's fixed - IT AIN'T
SteveS
I am also having this trouble. First just on my Mac, then on my iPhone and now also on iCloud.com.
I believe from everything I've been reading that it is a server/DNS issue on Apple's side and there's nothing we can do other than wait.
There is also this on the iCloud system status page that looks like it's the same thing, although there isn't much information to go on.

Users may experience intermittent slowness when logging in to iCloud Normal service will be restored ASAP. We apologize for any inconvenience.
So as annoying as it is, we just have to wait. And wouldn't this be a great time for Apple to give us a better updateon what's going on. But we'll save that for another thread.
Same here. Hope Apple will fix iCloud servers soon.
I had the same issue this morning but when I got to the office, my iPad seems to be fine. However, trying to log into iCloud.com for mail via the internet is useless. Calendar, iWorks, Address Book and Find my iPhone (not my iMac for some reason) all work fine. Mail is unresponsive.
I spent all day (so far) on this issue...same message for iphone, ipad & macbook...
I've been on hold waiting for Apple technical support for over 30 minutes...:o(
Common Apple, unless you want to start loosing your customers (I have 9 Apple products) you better be responsive...
It's happening to me too. Is there a fix for this?
However, it is working sporadically on my iPhone's mail.
Same with me here...
It's MobileMe all over again :-(
I ditto that. It is 1:10 PM EDT and I cannot get my mail from my Mac, iPhone nor iPad2. Username and Password are correct. Everything else with iCloud seems to be working. Oh well the price we pay for technology and for being a first adoptor.
talked to techincal support...it is the servers and nothing we can do...
How can they be surprised by # of users?
Don't know know how many products they sold? 😮
I guess there is nothing else we could do, but to check iCloud System Status page from time to time: http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/systemstatus/
😕
Everything works perfect now. 🙂
Same here, guess I'm eating my own words (happily so).
I downloade Icloud from the App Store and it was functioning properly until I updated my Ipad. Then Icloud asks for a password and will not accept the one I gave it. I fail to see how this will be beneficial if I don't have access to it on more than one device.
same problem.
