iMessage cross device sync issue.
I have read online that others are also having issues with iMessage syncing across "all iOS devices" as advertised.
Spent hours playing with this last night and this is what I have gathered so far.
I have an iPad 2 wifi and iPhone 4.
On my iPad I have my Apple ID set under the "Received At" option.
On my iPhone I have both m phone number and Apple ID set under "Received At".
** if I initiate a new conversation from my iPad, both my iPad and iphone will sync regardless of any other settings.
** if I initiate a new conversation from my iPhone, I must have "Received At > Caller ID" set to my Apple ID in order for iPad to sync. ( if Caller ID is set to my phone number, the iPad will not sync)
** if someone else initiates a new conversation using my Apple ID as the contact, both iPad and iPhone will sync.
** if someone else initiates a new conversation using my phone number as the contact, the iPad will not sync.
I'm hoping a fix for this would be implemented soon.
