I experimented the same problem, when I create a new document in Pages on my iPad, I would see it beeing sent to iCloud fine. If I then go immediately on the iCloud web site, I could see my document there. But, if I open the app on my iPad a few minutes later, I would see my doc at opening and then immediately vanishing before I had the chance to open it. It would then be lost forever, including on the web site!

I tried to delete Pages form my iPad and reinstall it, enable-disable iCloud sync, restore my iPad from backup, etc...

I tried every possible things I could think of but nothing worked.

The only way I managed to have it work again was restoring my iPad and reinstall it from scratch, without using any previous backup and set it as a new iPad.

Needless to say, this is not really a solution, it takes ages to do and you'll lost most of your stuff stored inside the apps, for instance your games progression.

With iCloud account OK, last version of Pages / Keynote / Numbers on devices (iMac and iPad), IOS5 etc...i lost all my old documents (create on iPad 2) on the device (disappeared on iPad) but can see them on iCloud...and can't download them.

When i "clic" on the document's icon on iCloud, i see "update" on this but nothing to download and recover it !

So i lost my documents !

Note that it's only for old documents : if i create now new documents, all is ok (upload / download...)...

Sjazbec answer me :

have a look in OSX folder :

/user/YOUROSXNAME/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~numbers/Documents

this is the icloud folder in OSX Lion. You need to use Finder "go to folder" command, because these folders are hidden

Thanks for his help but in fact, this folder contain documents you have create on iMac for example and export on device with iTunes.

The solution for the moment : STOP exporting documents on iCloud !

I have really lost lot of working hours ! It's a disaster !

Sorry, it s not a response but i expect Apple read this posts...

I have had the exact same issue. Everything worked great, then suddenly when I started pages today everything disappeared. I checked my phone and online, nothing. I then tried numbers with the same result. This is really horrifying. The MobileMe launch wasn't great but this is a disaster if it is deleting people's work. I had stuff that i did natively on my ipad that i didn't back up to my computer, gone. I found the folder that had some stored data on my computer but it's a bunch of .plist and .db files. I'm not sure how I'm going to get my data back. I hope apple addresses this very soon.

" I found the folder that had some stored data on my computer but it's a bunch of .plist and .db files."

For that, Collelo, i think i have à solution because i try it with my Keynote files : in this folder on computer, you try folders with -tef extension (where contain plist and db files)... for exemple name_of_file.key-tef or name_of_files.nbr-tef

It's simple : Remove -tef. The computer ask you of you really want Remove this extension...ok ! and your files are recover.. (make à copy before perhaps to be sure)...

I try that with certains key-files and it was ok...

But for me, i don t find any nbr-tef files to recover my work...it's ont the same thing !

Good luck !
