ipad does not see iPod Touch nor does iPod Touch see iPad--help with keynote remote app!

I use the keynote remote app on my ipod touch with keynote on my ipad. Until the 5.0 upgrade, it worked great!

After the upgrade, the app will not work. the ipod touch does not detect the ipad and the other way around.

Any suggestions as to a fix?
