Can't add events via iCal or icloud.com - get 507 error

I'm having the same problem. Can't add an event to iCloud from either of my two Macs.

"The server responded with “507” to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation"

Help?

I have the same issue. Eventually it seemed to stop, but them I noticed a dozen or more items were missing from my calendar. Reverted to a backup and now iCloud won't sync any more. In MobileMe, there was a way to reset the data and use the computer as the master data source to overwrite. This is no longer available. I tried support, but cant get a slot until Wednesday. Ugh.

I tried deleting the iCal "Calendars" folder in ~/Library, syncing them from iCloud again. No chance. All my past events are fine, but I can't create a new event. I can't create an event on iCloud, as well.

Error 507 should be quota exceeded, but I have 4.5 GB on my account. I submitted the error to Apple. Let's hope somebody finds a solution.

If I create an event on my iPhone, it doesn't appear both in iCal and iCloud, even though my iPhone is regularly linked to the iCloud account. Same happens if I move an event. No sync.

Spent a couple hours on the phone with MobileMe support today. They are looking into it, and I'' report back when I get a solution or answer.

Also having similar issue with Lion, iCloud, and iCal on an Intel iMac.

Double clicking a "Mail Attachment.ics" file in Mail adds it to iCal, which after a moment responds with the following dialog: "https://p-04.caldav.icloud.com:443/10787295/principal/ is not a location that supports this request." Two buttons: "Go Offline" or "Revert to Server"

Clicking either puts the invite into the calendar, but not up to iCloud. Taking iCal offline and then back will trigger a sync ("updating…" shows in iCal title bar) but event will still not show on iPhone or on iCloud.com

After approx. 15 minutes the invitation DISAPPEARS from iCal on the iMac - which brings the desktop calendar into sync with iCloud but is a total fail — as it has just destroyed important user data without any kind of notification.

This whole process is repeatable and consistent on my system.

Was able to fix it after some great help from Apple support. Turns out I had WAY too many events in my calendar file, over 22,000 going back years and years. Once I archived a bunch, things started working again just fine. Let me know if this helps.

Chris - that was the tip I have been waiting for. After I saw this, I was able to see that sometime in the past, when we imported all of my wife's calendar items from Outlook, all of her repeating items (birthday's etc.) came over as single events going out about 200 years instead of repeating events. Once I turned off calendar sync on all devices, cleared out the calendar that contained these repeating items, deleted all calendars from icloud.com, and turned calendar sync back on, all problems went away.

Here are the steps I followed. First, I created an archive of my iCal using the File->Export command. I turned off the calendar sync on all devices, including my computer. I did a search on "" and viewed the resultant list. In my case, I saw thousand of entries from 1914 out about 200 years. I found one of the repeating items and double clicked to see what calendar it lived in. Once I determined that nothing too important was in that calendar, I deleted the whole thing (your mileage may vary). I then went to iCloud.com and deleted all calendars that were on the site. Once this was done, I waited a bit for the delete to take hold. I then turn iCloud address book sync back on on the Mac. Once I was sure the sync worked properly by checking on iCloud.com, I turned on iCloud calendar sync on all other devices. Everything sync'd perfectly after that.

You are partially my hero, but not quite. Your comments provoked me to look back in my iCal, since I've spent hours with the same problem as everybody else above. My events only date back to around 1998, but in many instances, there are 250 or more repetitions of the same event! After trying to manually delete all the holidays and birthdays I could find by searching "birthday" etc, I realized I'd never get them all. But I also realized that the size of my iCal was preventing my current dates from syncing. I archived the iCal and then tried deleting the iCal from my Mac, leaving only iCloud calendars. Now, some currently entered events are syncing, some not. I'm afraid to delete the calendars on iCloud since calendars across my devices are so inconsistent -- I have an iMac, an iPhone 4 and an iPad2. I'm as frustrated as I was with Mobile Me, and I wish I could just can the whole iCloud thing and go back to iTunes syncing. But that seems too problematic as well. Any other ideas?

I've been struggling with iCloud Calendar sync issues for a while and have found a solution which may help everyone.

Once I found this I ran some analysis on the caledars I'ce had issues with, and along with the great comments on this thread, managed to trace the issue to the 25,000 item limit on the Calendar. The particular calendar in question had many multiple Birthday entries ranging from 1964 to 2012 along with over 10k of regular duplicates. Turns out someone had tried to fix the calendar before but just compounded the issue.

I used iCal Dupe Deleter app to assist with the cleanup. Once done, the calender upadated into the iCloud and all other Mac's, iphones and iPads started sync'ing as expected.

Thanks so much for the info about the # of items on Ical. I kept getting the 507 error message on Ical, Icloud.com and couldn't enter events on my Iphone calendar. I downloaded the Dupe Devil App, to remove duplicate entries for .99 cents, and it made it all better again! After 2 express lane phone calls to find no answers, this was a breath of fresh air! Thanks!!!

I'm getting the same thing on my MacBook Pro. That's crazy that there would be a limit to the number of iCal entries. I'm not sure how many I have. But there shouldn't be a limit. C'mon Apple, I NEED this to sync right. I thought the iCloud world would be filled with lollipops and unicorns, as compared to MobileMe and all of it's problems.

OK found a solution!

It is really lame!

NEVER add a reminder in iCal dragging them into the Week or Day view!!!

Change to Month view and then drag the reminder on the desired day!

You can now change to Week or Day view and move the reminder to the selected hours.

Please help share this solution and click like to get Apple to finally fix this issue, which is clearly on their side.

Just a FYI... I upgraded to Mountain Lion today thinking somehow they would have fixed this limit in iCal - but no... I'm still getting errors when trying to use calendars that have over 25K entries. Really frustrating and frankly makes iCloud useless to me.

I have 4 different Calendars plus one my daughter uses. when I deleted her calendar from iCal on my Mac and iCloud, my origianl 4 calendars all started syncing properly. I presume her calendar took me over the limit.
