Lion 10.7.2 upgrade and HDMI video issue

This is my configuration:

- Mac Mini 2011

- 4gb ram

- intel i5 processor 2.3ghz

- intel Hd graphics 3000

- hdmi output directly connected with a full hd philips tv with a standard 1.4 hdmi cable

After the 10.7.2 upgrade I had 2 problems:

1) finder infinite loop at startup (but I've solved by deleting the ds_store files that are under desktop and my profile folders)

2) video driver problem

For the second one I haven't find a solution. I'm now rolling back the system to 10.7.1 version

Probably is a problem of the new video driver that is inside the upgrade

I've already try to reset PRAM and NVRAM but it didn't solved...

After 10-15 minutes (with no one program open except finder) the image disappear from the screen for

2/3 seconds and then come back, but all colors are missing. The screen image have a strange "blue" dominant.

To restore the situation to normally I've to go inside preference - monitor and switch to another resolution (for example 1080i)

and then re-select the 1080p again. But after 10-15 minutes the problem reappears. It's impossible to see a movie in this situation...

Does anyone have my same problem and did find a solution?

LATEST NEWS: after system roll-back at 10.7.1 the issue is "magically" disappeared... :)

wow! this worked. I have been on the phone to apple care about 4 times with this issue, creating sys-logs and everything. and they could not do anything about it. so a BIG THANK YOU! this saved my mac.

i tried this but what happened for me on my mac mini, is when i rebooted the colours were inverted from the start, and then when i changed the input and came back the colours are almost normal but not correct, so now i have a lot of pink in this page for example the menue is pinkish and the backgroind of the page too.

i dont like pink...

i changed the settings on my tv and hopefully it won't change back again, which it did once. so far no inversion of colours so the fix seems to work!

***, I bought a MacMini two days ago, and the salesdude assured me that it would work on any HD television. I now have a Philips 42" (1.5 years old) connected to the Mini, but after 10 to 20 minutes the screen turns pink, purple and yellow. If I switch between sceensettings it turns normal again, but after 10 - 20 minutes it starts over again. Drives me crazy.

Will there be an update for this you think? Apple, c'mon!!

If you go back to the previos page (1) of this thread, there you'll find a solution that has worked for me so far (over a week) and many others it seems.

Thank you so much for that fix! Worked for me too! I was actually sick thinkin' that I had to go out and buy a new tv! I'll redirect everyone who's having the same issue here!

I solved it with connecting the MacMini directly into my Yamaha receiver with an HDMI cable, which also is connected to my TV. It now sends information via the receiver to my Philips TV and it works great.

Same problem here 😟 I logged a call with AppleCare this afternoon and was informed that the issue is being looked at by the engineering team... let's hope they solve it soon...
