Rule to send auto-reply with "away from office message" only once

I'm going to be away from my computer for an extended period of time, and have set up a rule that will reply to message with a response indicating that. Is there a way to have this message sent to any given email address only once, so that people who send me multiple emails don't receive the reply more than once? Thnaks guys.

you should probably take a look at the Vacation Script - it contains setup instructions to achieve what you are trying to do (you will have to keep in mind that the rule will only be executed if the computer and Mail are running though):

If you clear your Previous Recipients (Window Menu), and then add 'Sender is not in my previous recipients' to the rule, I think that will ensure that your automated reply is sent only once to any address.
