Lack of document syncing in iCloud

I sent this feedback to Apple:

The absence of true document syncing to my Macbook Pro (or any desktop Mac) in iCloud is baffling. I was absolutely sure that iCloud would include some sort of DropBox-type integration between devices, and that Apple's version would put DropBox to shame. I am very disappointed that syncing docs is a non-starter. Manually moving files between the desktop and the cloud can't be considered syncing.

Yes, I know that I can sync Pages files between my iPhone and my iPad. To leave OSX machines out of that process is completely pointless; the number of people who create AND consume solely on IOS devices has to be a very small number.

If Apple can get this right, it will make iCloud a powerful tool; until then it's a polished MobileMe and nothing more.
