I updated to IOS 5 and I had to switch from my old Apple ID to my full email address. Everything works except updating apps from ITunes. It still displays my old sign-in name (not email address) but wont take my password. help!

Hi there - mine is fixed now. I got help from the itunes store support. What I needed to do was to restore the ipod, then set it up as a new ipod signing in with the new email address ID. I was then able to redownload the apps with out paying for them again. All the apps had transferred to the new ID. The original password worked too. It has taken a while but i now have all my apps back and associated with the new ID Hope this helps
suemccully's solution didn't work for me. I've been struggling with this probem for 3 weeks. I've simply repurchased the free apps and have paid again for a couple that I use every day. I'm reluctant to put out the money to repurchase some of the more expensive apps. Apple needs to give us some help with this one.

Apple don't have a problem to sort out. You do. Start a new thread and describe your problem properly instead of just sticking a "me too" post with a vacuous threat on the end of a dead thread.
