iphone ical will not merge with ical on macbook ical

Same problem here - I add events to my iphone and ipad - they both sync with each other but nothing on my iMac - what gives?
Same problem here too - have upgraded iPhone 3GS and iPad to iClous, iOS5, upgraded iMac to Lion, and now my iCal on my iMac will not synch with my iPhone or iPad? Please help!
Having the same problem. I've updated everything from mobileme to icloud. My iphone and ipad are syncing and events show up on the icloud calendar but not on my Mac ical. I keep getting an error message that it can't find the server. Very frustrating - help please!
same for me...Plus I am unable to edit any of the ICAL entries on my iphone! it is making me crazy...I can add, but not edit anything at all there.
I am having similar problems, but inconsistent ones.
Some events I create on my iPhone sync to my iCal, some do not. But I cannot figure out what the underlying reason is.
I've tried resetting my sync history, with no luck. I read older threads that recommended exporting your iCal data, deleting all events in iCal, then reloading the backup file. Apparently syncing works after that for some people, but the threads are all from 2008.
Has anyone tried this fix with Snow Leopard and iOS 5?
Mine is similar;
My iPad and MacBook Pro sync iCal ok with each other and iMac and vice-verca....however my iphone wont sync with any of them with iCal and Reminders.
Other iCloud stuff works such as Photo Stream??
All seems to have happened after I upgraded to iCloud.
Any thoughts?? My settings on iPhone and iPad seem to be the same. I've deleted and re-added acct to iPhone too but nothing?????
Found this on a different discussion and it worked for me!
icloud for snow leopard does work if you do the following:
Go to iCal preferences.
Set up new account.
Account Type: CalDAV
User Name: Your MobileMe / iCloud email address
Password: Your password for above
Server Address: p06-caldav.icloud.com
I am having the same issue since I updated both my MacBook and my iPhone. I had been using Google Calendar and thought I'd try using iCal instead but am thinking I should just go back to my old system.
I'm not seeing that anybody has come up with a viable solution...

Seems you have to designate which calender to use - in the drop down box use the iClooud calender - works.
But what happened to instuctions?
im having the same problem with my ical the only thing that works is when i use my icloud calenders it gos to all my devices but when i use any other calender it does not synch nothing anyone kno why???
Same problem here. I've been trying to figure this out for weeks. Seems like it should be an easy fix. Everything else is syncing except for my ical. I have a feeling that there's not a button pressed somewhere...? Also, a long time ago I synced my google calendar (which I don't use anymore) with my ical. I'm trying to delete the calendar from ical but it won't let me. so annoying.
This is an odd fix but it seems to work everytime to sync the ical app on my macbook with the current info in my ical app on my iphone. Open ical on the macbook. Click on the calendar you are trying to update (to hilight it). Create a new calendar by clicking the plus sign + in the lower left corner. The new calendar will be called "untitled". Now delete that calendar. Everything will update within 30 seconds.
This worked like a charm and I suggest everyone with iCal sync problems follow these instructions. Thank you adrian.
