Why does my iCloud Address Book have 80 contacts while my iMac Address Book has 182? There's no obvious pattern in the dropped entries. Seems like iCloud just dropped a random bunch of cards.
Any ideas?

Sometimes it's just the simple things. Went into System Preferences > iCloud, unchecked contacts, re-checked contacts. My iMac, my Air, & my iCloud now have the same contacts again.

I was having similar problems to Jeff and the troubleshootiing article took care of most -- except, my "Smart Groups" in the Address Book will not upload to iCloud. Is iCloud set up to take Smart Groups?
Thanks Jeff! It was that simple... I've been running Windows for a few months and lost all my trust to computers. I was afraid tro try and afraid to loose any data but I should probably just rely a bit more on Apples effort to make everything work perfectly. 🙂
This solved part of the problem for me : unchecking/rechecking Co,tacts in iCloud Prefs System synched iCloud with Adress Book in iMac.
BUT when I sync my iPhone checking the button "Delete and replace Contacts from your computer", no avail.
WHat gives ?
