The Sims 3 Graphics Issue After Software Update

This is what my sim looks like (Its not my image but it looks just like this!)

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

The same thing happened to me! Sims were rendering fine before I downloaded the latest software update and now they look just like your screenshot. is there a way to revert a software update?

I have no idea. I called both Apple and EA and they said its because of the software of the MAC being so up to date, the EA game, liek the sims needs to be updated on the launcher. Ive checked form time to time if EA made a ne wpatch for the intel 3000 but they havent and thats what the problem is. So we got to wait it out for EA to hurry up and make a patch for it.

I have the same exact problem. This is absolutely heartbreaking. Do you guys have MBPs? Is it the Firmware update or the Lion update? This is so heartbreaking... I don't know what to do..

Ok! Last night I went to my local Apple Store and bought a Lion thumb drive. I installed 10.7.0 on top of 10.7.2, and started up The Sims, and no more glitchy sims! I only got to play for a minute because I had to run to work, but my whole main family looked great. So if you don't want to wait for EA to update the game, I'd suggest installing Lion again and seeing if it works for you!

I have the most updated lion on my mac book pro and when i purchased the sims 3 pets and played the game, the pets looked choppy and pixelated again. I have the 10.7.2. I knew i should have never upgraded it because my sims game was fine before i updated the software.

I cant really help anyone, i just decided to play my sims game on a PC laptop. Mac updated way too much when we downlaoded the software update to 10.7.2. It messed up the entire gameplay, and i spoke to apple and they said you cant use time machine or anything to restore your defaults, so theres nothing you can do.

Oh my god, I thought my game was broken!!!! I am so glad I am not the only one with this problem! I have tried everything from changing the graphics options in the game to reinstalling the game and NOTHING works. Please if anyone knows how to fix this share. Has anyone contacted apple about this problem??

I hear what you're saying but at the same time it is very upsetting when you spend money on a game to find out you can't play it. It's like paying for a University but not being able to go. Though it's not nearly as drastic, I'm sure you get my point.
