Newsstand Notification Badge Not Disappearing

Exactly the same for me too... Keen to learn the answer as I hate having badge notifications that I can't clear.

Yea I DL an issue of PSM and same issue I'm having. Hopefully they get out an patch for this soon. it bugs me seeing it on my home screen

Same for me. DowNloaded wired and maclife and now the notification bubble won't go away.

For me, the badge went away when I disabled badges on the magazine app I had subscribed to.

I'm wondering if it's because there's another (older) issue available that I didn't buy through the app.

I still have badges turned on for the two mags I haven't subscribed to yet, and I don't have any badges showing on Newsstand.

Same here, even i was trying to get rid of the badge, i tried to read through some pages but not all.

Anyway good to here that i'm not alone. Not matter what, feeling alone is always scary, good to know i'm not alone. Lets hope IT heads at apple are fixing.

Same problem. Appears to be an issue with News Stand apps by Future as I have not had this problem with the Daily.

I had the same problem. Fixes by going to Settings - Notifications. Look for all the mags and turn them off. Mine was from a mag called .NET which has many other mags you can download from within their app. It seemed to be the root problem. Turned notifications off for that one and it went away.

I had the same problem with my mac format magazine. To get rid of the icon I went into settings then notifications. Found mac format and then turned off badge app icon. Seems to have sorted it out.

FINALLY FIXED!!!!! The Magazines themselves where the cause. Each magazine I had in my newsstand just released a update and that pesky red dot is gone. Finally 🙂

Look for the magazine with a banderole, the band that says, "new". On it. Click on read and the badge will disappear when all like magazines have been read, or just opened.
