How do I delete the "newstand" app?

If you want Apple to consider allowing you to delete the Newsstand app easily please leave feedback at http://www.apple.com/feedback/ and who knows if Apple sees that enough people hate it they may allow you to switch it on and off like Nike+.

In the mean time if you want Newsstand out of the way either put it on the last page or put it in a folder. To do this, make a folder with two other apps and when the iPod is forming the folder straight away select the Newsstand app and drop it in. You may need a few trys however it does work. And it doesnt show that you picked up the Newsstand app. Also please note that this is unsupported and it will crash the iPod if you open Newsstand and from the sounds of it you wouldnt be opening up newsstand.

How do you get the Nike+ off? I don't mind having these, if I they are going to 'make' me, but I would at least like them off my screens. Not a biggee, I guess it just gets annoying how all the big companies are able to force everyone to have things they don't want.

You can't. Like istocks (and other native apps), we're stuck with it. It is weird that you can't hide it away in a folder though, I noticed this. You'll have to hide it on a screen you never use.

There is not way to delete apps that came with the iPod. All you can do is to move it to a another screen or put it in a folder.

I have the same issue. I want to remove Newstand. Maybe it's time for me to think about other smart phones besides Apple. I'm tired of little things like these that frustrates me.

THE BEST WAY IS "IGNORE".

It is an apple original app, so it can not be deleted.

Nike + can be turned off under Settings > General > Nike + iPod = Off
