Dec 10, 2011 5:54 AM in response to edgewiseby lbspartanburg,Here's to hope Apple gets their act together to fix this. There are numerous threads on this issue. Several proposed short term fixes and they sometimes work for a day or so....then the same old problem pops up. I was an Apple fan based on the iPad with iOS 4. Got the iPhone due to satisfaction. Having to hit refresh every time you use the back button is a malfunction on the most basic functions of a browser. Safari and apps continually crash. Apple is opening the field for other players. I agree with another poster...if this was Microsoft they would be crucified...why no outcry?

Dec 10, 2011 7:09 AM in response to lbspartanburgby MadDog956,This has gone from being an annoying temporary problem to being a giant pain. I'm on the verge of dumping my iPad for an Android tablet.
It's unbelievable that malfunction of what should be simple totally destroys the user experience. I hate this.

Dec 11, 2011 4:47 PM in response to MadDog956by MadDog956,As long as I'm at it, can someone tell me how to export my iPad Safari Bookmarks?
It's not obvious to me how to do this, and I'm planning on going to another browser.
Thanks.

Jan 25, 2012 3:25 PM in response to edgewiseby Lepto,I'm having the same problem! Since updating iOS 5, I've noticed a lot of performance issues.

Jan 25, 2012 4:22 PM in response to Leptoby MadDog956,What the heck? Not for nothing, but the problem I've been having with this has made me want to get rid of my iPad and go with an Android tablet. I actually took mine to the Apple store, they reloaded iOS, and I'm still having the problem.
After all this time, is there no answer for this from Apple? Honestly, this is PATHETIC!!!

Jan 25, 2012 4:32 PM in response to MadDog956by jpozuk,My belief is that it is an IOS issue. Will not be resolved until apple fixes in an upgrade.

Jan 25, 2012 4:33 PM in response to Anthony H.by jpozuk,Clearing cache will of course provide a short term fix. No old cache to load. Are you still problem free?
-
Jan 25, 2012 4:45 PM in response to jpozukby MadDog956,Clearing the cache is a crappy solution because it also clears all cookies, so all logins are also lost.
It has to be an iOS problem because I never had a problem before iOS 5. Apple should have released a patch by now and now that I think about it, I'd actually like to go back to the old iOS which was problem free for me.

Jan 25, 2012 4:50 PM in response to MadDog956by jpozuk,Agreed. Pre IOS 5 I was actually happy. Except for my skipping ipod classic (another thread), things were going well. My apple II even still boots. Now the ipad on the other hand.

Feb 2, 2012 2:08 PM in response to edgewiseby Pecos Bill,I'm still on iOS 4 so I haven't experienced this. Has anyone tried wiping their iDevice (via iTunes but could also be an option buried somewhere)?

Feb 2, 2012 2:17 PM in response to Pecos Billby MadDog956,I don't know how to go back to iOS 4, otherwise I would. I had NO issues there.
To me this is a major issue that I have to put up with each and every day. I hate my iPad for this reason and would love nothing more to dump it at this point and get an Android tablet.
