have a iPod touch 4th gen and when i try to update it get errors

so im trying to update my iPod touch 4th gen to IOS5

so it has probles backing up my ipod i click contiune

then it start extracting software and then a pop up said The iPod "Yared's Ipod"could not be restored. An unknowen error occurred(3194)

i when in to more information i update iTunes to 10.5 i restarted my computer and it still not working -.-
