iCloud Control Panel will not install! What do I need to do?

I've got the exact same error message however I'm using Windows 7 sp1. What to do?

1. You need to disable the User Account Control (AUC) in Windows control pannels, otherwise next steps may not work.

2. You need to locate the file, right click it and select properties - security - advanced - owner tab; click on edit and select your username (the current Windows account), press ok.

3. Then within the security tab, select your user account and grant the full control to yourself (first box needs to be ticked). Press ok.

Then try the installation again. This worked for me.

I found a simple solution. I moved the mapisvc.ini file to my desktop. Ran the install again and it created a new mapisvc and completed the install. Program has been working fine for a week.

I have the same issue. I disabled AUC, rebooted and selected the full control box under security but, it does not let me apply the change. Also, I am not able to move or rename the file. Message states I do not have permission.

Any ideas to continue solving this problem?
