Reminder app bug

So I upgraded to iOS 5 Wednesday, and naturally played with the new stuff. I made a reminder to test the location thing, and set it to give me a reminder when I left for work yesterday morning. Worked perfectly.

It gave me the same reminder this morning, but I didn't set it to be a repeat reminder. I've tried to delete it, but it's not giving me that option when I swipe it. Also, it's not showing up in my reminders list. I can only find it if I do a search in reminders, then when I click on it, it takes me back to my blank reminder

Reminders is VERY buggy unfortunately...

Reminders that are stuck

Crashing

Freezing

Incomplete sync from iCal to Reminders (have only seen on occurrence of this problem)

Requests to Repeat disappear

The last one makes Reminders unusable for me right now. It's is NOT dependable. (50% of the tasks that I set to Repeat have the Repeat button turned off the next time I look at them!)

Too bad... The sync and Siri are wonderful. I hope they'll issue a fix soon.

Thank you silvasp, your post fixed it for me, exact same issue as original post, except mine was 'olive oil', unfortunately, I work in a large area and was getting this reminder every hour when moving around and its been annoying me since the update. Now resolved! First problem with apple software/hardware in 4 yrs on the phones and macbook... Not used to things not 'just working' 😁

Thank you Silvasp. Your suggestion worked for me too! I first turned off the reminders in iCloud settings. When I swiped down the reminder screen the iCal entries were still duplicated. Of note, only the iCal entries created on my iPhone were ever duplicated. Those created on my wife's iPhone or our iPad were never duplicated. This clued me into the source of the problem coming specifically from my phone. I then turned off the Calendars and "Deleted from My iPhone". Upon turning the Calendars and Reminders back on the duplicate entries issues was resolved. Thanks again.
