iOS 5.0 wont download (I have iTunes 10.5)

I'm looking forward to this answer. I have the same error on 2 machines. I have 2 iPod touches a 3G and a 4G. goes through all the motions of downloading then after the files gets to completion it gives me this error message.

I have PC's running iTunes 10.5.0.124

I use firefox as browser (if that means anything)

I would like to know what the issue is with this. I have been trying for 2 days now to download ios 5 so I can update my 2 iPhone 4's and my 2 iPad 2's. I have had this problem just about everytime a new update for the IOS comes out.

Your connection is surely slow or the servers are slow due to high demand...

Google iOS5 direct links...

Go to any place that offers direct links to the Apple files (the link needs to be from the site apple.com)

Choose the correct version of iPhone and iPad you have and download their iOS...

Then after download is done, plug the iPhone (and iPad later on) to the laptop...

Open iTunes, go to the iPhone/iPad, there's upgrade and restore...

Click on option+restore (Mac) or shift+restore (on windows)...

Find the downloaded file and choose it and let the updating begin...

It'll restore as a new iPhone/iPad and then restore from backup...

This oughtta work for you...

But be careful to choose the right iOS version (gsm it CDMA, 4 or 3Gs, ipad wifi or 3G gsm or 3G CDMA etc)

I had to turn off my anti virus as it was stopping the download and it worked straight away. Try turning it off un the download is complete and the iphone is restored back to its settings and then turn your anti virus back on. Hope this helps.

I was having same problem and realized we were running netflix at the same time i was trying to download. Tried w/netflix disconnected and it uploaded fine. May check that you arent running anything that will slow it down.
