No it will work. The only changes with the 4s is the inside parts.
so the camera is not larger than iphone 4 then? or the flash isnt further apart?
no it WONT fit there is a slight difference between the positions of the silence switch and volume buttons
silence swith is about 10mm down from the 4 and volume buttons are about 2mm down
does make a difference though

I just picked up my new 4S today and the otter case that said it was compatible with Iphone 4. It works perfectly and just an FYI, Otter has significantly improved the case. The bottom opening is much larger so an after market car charger works without any problem. The case holder has a much better locking mechanism than the earlier models. My 3G was dropped many times due to the locking mechanism not locking very well. I hope this helps.
My incase case I had for my iphone 4 is not compatible with my new iphone 4s. My silence switch gets covered and you can't flip it when the case is on. Also my bumper doesn't work that well either with my new iphone 4s. Part of the rubber covers the mute switch.
