Will I lose all my apps if I change my Apple ID?

Hi~

I have not recieved my verification email for iCloud and its getting very frusterating. If I log into my acct on iTunes and change my apple ID, will all my music and apps stay with the new ID?

I have tried to see if I have my original ID email associated with any other accts. But again it says i need to verify my email address to gain access to this info and I never recieve the verification email.

I however do get all other emails from Apple such as change password links, Itunes and App store reciepts, etc. Its just getting very frusterating.

I just don't want to screw anything up because I am dependant on all things Apple!! I cant imagine trying to get through the weekend without my iPhone, iPad or Apple TV, let alone the iMac.

It would be nice if Apple would just say something about this problem, I can be patient if I know they are going to try and fix it. Sorry for my rambling, I just want my new toy!

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.1)

You can also verify by signing in at My Apple ID. You'll receive an email prompting you to verify.

You can also use different Apple IDs for iCloud, iTunes and Mac Apple Store.

Anyway, I had a similar issue and to make my standard Apple ID working I first changed the primary email address in My Apple ID with a second valid one of mine, verified it via email (it gets sent to the new email address), changed the ID "nickname" to the new email address. Then changed the primary email back to my old email address and followed the same steps.

YAY!

Thanks for all the help! I was finally able to figure out that my step-daughter had my email as a alternate, she went in and deleted it and I got my verification immidiately.

I'm guessing this is the problem everyone is having, their Apple ID is an alternate email on a different ID. I was not aware she had it as an alternate and I couldn't access my account information to see because I didn't get the verification emails so I could get into my acct. So after a few phone calls it was all resolved. As soon as she deleted it off her acct. I was able to verify my email addy for iCloud.

Good luck to those still struggling.
