I can't sync iPhone on WiFi

Question

I can't sync iPhone on WiFi

I have been sucessfully merging from MobileMe to iCloud after updating and follow all steps, and most seems ok, until I was about to sync my iphone 4 (on iOS5). I have followed all instructions, making sure all is on same WiFI etc. the iTunes finds my iPhone allright, and vica versa, however it all stops on part 1 of 6 in attempting to start sync service. I have even tried to reinstall my iphone but still the sync via WiFi does not work, and now it seems I am not able to sync through my MacBook Pro either. Any clues to what to do ?

Can you sync connected via wired? Try that and see if it is your phone, or your network

Try this on your iPhone...

Tap Settings / General / Reset / Reset Network Settings.

Retart your iPhone.

It seems I am moving forward restart of the MacBook was needed as well, at last getting started this time, hopefully it will manage fullfill the tasks 🙂

you must restart your Mac - itunes starts by itself - and now you see your devices (not plugged)

plug one of your devices to the power cord and it will sync over wifi

it turned out to be after all restarts, fixing of settings etc.. that I needed first of all restart Mac, then it worked, still working. It seems sync via WiFi is quite slow compared to the old way, but it still seems to work.. thx🙂

Well, it happens often and, as to me, I don't think it's an issue of Apple, OS or whatever else, rather than a Wi-Fi nowadays technology itself: let's be hones — even though it is popular it is not that good. But, getting back to your question — my solution (the one which works for me) is easy and quite — no hassle with password, nothing...

All you need is to renew lease of your device over the wi-fi network. Go to the Wi-Fi settings, click the blue arrow to get to the settings of the current network and click the renew lease button; launch iTunes — it's there your iDevice.

Personally, I've got two of them — and from time to time I'm renewing the lease — that solves mentioned issue.
