Ical dates too light after Lion upgrade

Since I upgraded to Lion, my iCal page displays the monthly days & dates in a light blue color that is unredable on my 17" Macbook Pro. Aplle should know about this and correct it or at least make the intensity adjustable.

Does anyone know how to do this other than using another calender such as the Google one.
