Lion still sees previous time machine and slows backups

I had time Machine running over a network on a samba share with 10.6, after 10.7 I had to change it to netatalk. When I did a restore, I was mounting it in terminal and had problems due to the space in Time Machine, so I renamed it TimeMachine and it's been that ever since. My back ups take hours, I've tried deleting, deleting the sparse bundle and recreating it several times, problem persists. I notice that even though I renamed my back up directory from Time Machine to TimeMachine, it still sees Time Machine. And if I do a back up restore in Lion, it sees only the Time Machine directory, which it can't mount because it no longer exists. The only entry in keychain is TimeMachine. Why does Lion/restore partiontion remember TIme Machine but not TimeMachine? Thanks.
