SIM card with IPhone 4s

It keeps telling me that the SIM card in my iPhone 4s is not the SIM card associated with my account. They have already disabled my other phone and I have no way to contact them or anyone else. Any suggestions?

Yea, same issue for 1 of 2 iPhone 4S that I am trying to activate ... It's my wifes and she didn't have an iPhone previously. I've literally spent 13 hours at this point trying to get it fixed ... Currently on hold with Apple. I doubt it will get fixed tonight ... Off to the AT&CRAP store tomorrow morning.

This is RIDICULOUS!!! Good luck ...

On the same boat. I think calling AT&T and giving them my new SIM # screwed things up. I no longer have my old sim card.

Off to the dopey AT&T store tomorrow. AT&T really stinks. I can deal with activation delays but I think they totally screwed up the process for me when they updated my account during an upgrade process.

I'm having the same problem. I have spent hours with AT&T on line and in store and they say it is a problem at Apple's iCloud. I made the mistake of transferring my VZW number to a new line on my wife's AT&T account and asking the number to be ported over. I should have just gotten a new number and did the port later. Every time I try and activate it it says the sim number doesn't match the sim number for my account. AT&T tried on the phone for over an hour with no luck and sent me to AT&T store to get a new sim and have them activate it. I thne spent 3 hours in the AT&T store and they could not get it to work. Finally they tried to call Apple support but Apple was closed. However, I originally called Apple and they sent me to AT&T. Go figure!!!

I ordered my 4s from apple.com on Oct 7 around 2am in the morning...wanted to be one of the first to get it! Arrived on Friday, Oct 14 around 11:30am CT. When first activiting it I was getting the server is busy error...tried for about 4 hours and never got activated. Called AT&T and they activated the SIM in my 4S which made my 3G stop working. Then I started getting the 'The SIM card in your phone does not match the SIM card associated with your account' error. Tried for another few hours and never could activate. Tried to call Apple at 800-myiphone and stayed on hold for over an hour with no answer. I called AT&T again and decided I'd go back to my 3G so used a blank SIM I had at the house and had them switch back so I would have a working phone. After they did that they told me my 4S SIM would no longer work and I would have to go to the AT&T store and get another SIM. Went to the AT&T store last night and waited a long time to get a SIM while watching people walk in, buy a phone and walk out with it working,...argh. They were convinced they could get me working so they put a new SIM in my 4S and tried to get it activiated. They got the same error about the SIM card not matching. Then they said the problem was on the Apple iTunes side. Oh...and they told me by the way...switching out my SIM put my to the back of the line...great! They said Apple has to get their servers in sync with AT&T and until that happens I won't be able to get activated. They thought it would start working around 11 or 12 last night...assuming that things would be getting caught up. I tried until about midnight. Then got up and tried from 2am to around 3:30. And tried again this morning at 6:30am with no luck! I've also tried to find an Apple store I could go to today and there are no appointments available....of course. May just switch back to my 3G for a few days and then try again. At least I will have a working phone. Never been so frustrated. I am so disappointed in Apple....I think Steve Jobs must be rolling over in his grave...this is so not the way to roll out a new product!

**UPDATE**

I rolled into the Apple Store this morning at about 8:55 ... There was an AT&T rep there who took my sim card out of 1 of my phones and put it into the phone that actually activated. It worked, so they then knew there was a problem with the 4S that I had in my hand.

Lucky for me this store still had some Black 32's on hand and they simply swapped it out and activated it for me ... It took me 24 hours and 12 mins from the time I signed for it from UPS to actually get it activated ... THAT's JUST WRONG!!!

I spent 7 hours on the phone with AT&T ... 1.5 hours with Apple ... and the rest was trying to figure it out on my own. AT&T credited me my bill for a month, but I don't think 24 hours of BS is worth the credit ... By their #'s my time is worth just over minimum wage ... I'm not mad at Apple -- they fixed it and did it quick, but AT&T has NO CLUE what to do and their phone representatives are absolutely clueless with the process.

I'm fixed now, but WOW --- that was ridiculous! Best of luck to everyone else --- I hope this helps you get it resolved.

Did you have to make a reservation when you went to Apple? The closest one to me is an hour a way and the phone is busy... but it's worth it to me just to drive the hour to get my money back! My day was ruined yesterday and that was after UPS went and just picked one of my random neighbors to sign for my package because I was there! Not happy at all with the whole upgrade.😐
