Yahoo server unavailable. I am not able to get into yahoo account. iPhone 4S

When setting up you email, do not click on the Yahoo! Use "Other" and follow the promps. Use imap.mail.yahoo.com as your Incoming Mail Server, and smtp.mail.yahoo.com as your Outgoing Mail Server.

This should fix it

In the incoming and outgoing mail server areas do you need to put your username and password as well?

Incoming, yes. Outgoing, no. =)

Thank you so much for your help! It worked!!!! I have been on the phone with verizon for 4 days and their comment to me was it must be my hardware and I need a new phone! I spoke with Apple and they are aware of the issue with ios 5 and yahoo mail. Thanks again for your help!

I changed my yahoo password and then it worked.

Wish I had sought the answer here rather than from Yahoo. Even the Verizon geeks were stumped. As if that was really hard to do.Thanks.

I am still having this issue but i went to my computer and changed my yahoo passowrd... I have the iphone 4, but with the new iOS 5 software. But the issue now is that it tells me the imap serever password is incorrct? I will appreciate the help thanks...

I had the imap.yahoo & smtp.yahoo changed both incoming & outgoing but saying I have "incorrect password"
