Upgraded to IOS5. Playlists appear on iTunes and have all the songs there. Sync'd with iPad checking "all songs", all the songs appear on ipad Music but playlist names appear on iPad but only 5% of songs are in the playlist. Tries re-synch-ing with "selected playlist" option and checked all the playlists, same problem.
Basically all the music goes across, the playlist names but the playlists are missing most of their songs?
Mac Book Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.5)

Update: Fixed!
Powered off iPad, let it sit for a few minutes, turned it back on, plugged back into iTunes and re-sync'ed.
Everything was back in my playlists.
had the same Problem with my iPhone 4S. Turned off and on again, plugged it in, synced and voila my playlists were complete again. Hope this doesn't become a thing i have to repeat a lot!
Restarting doesn't do a thing for me. Thousands of songs missing, and I've got my coat on to spend half the day at the laundromat...
Hi. I have the same issue also. And have tried to turn off-on and re-synced it again. The problem was solved, however the issue happened again and again.... Only in ipad, yet not in iphone... Got an solution..?
