Iphone 4s bluetooth not finding devices...
Cant get my new 4s to find bluetooth devices namely my SYNC in my ford mustang. Most troublesome as my old 3g connected instantly. Sat in car for 20 mins and it never found it. Any fixes?

Same issue here with my Mini Cooper.
Same problem here with my Subaru. 3GS always connected immediately. 4S will connect if I pair it, but when I turn off the ignition and then turn it back on the connection never reestablishes. Quite a flaw!
Yep, should get Subaru to fix that through a firmware update.
Same with my aftermarket Clarion Cx501. It sees the 4S, but 4S doesn't see it.
Same here with my hands free ANYCOM unit. I believe it's the operating system version 5 as our iphone 3gs will not locate device now either after updating to new software.
iPhone 4s doesn't even find my iPhone 3G...
It was working fine on my iPhone 4 using iOS5 for the past couple of months. When I upgraded to the iPhone 4S my MINI will not connect. On the car I set it to discoverable and on the iPhone, no devices appear as available for pairing. I think this is an issue with the iPhone 4S, not iOS5. I am wondering is the firmware (Bluetooth 4.0) in the new phone has a problem or incompatability with some Bluetooth devices and systems.
I have not seen this mentioned in any tech blogs or in the press so I wonder how wide-spread it is. I would feel better if APple would address it or the tech press brought it up so we knew Apple was paying attention.
My 2006 Camry Hybrid synched beautifully with my old Sony/Ericson phone, and my old 3GS, but won't even see my new 4S. Frustrating.
Hi there,
Got the same problem with nearly all the bluetooth devices I tried, including 2 cars (BMW and Audi).
After restoring the iPhone 4S and activating it, but not putting any icloud or app, it worked perfectly.
Conclusion: There's an app that causes this issue.
Now I have to check which one by putting one after the other on the iPhone and testing if it still connects.
I'll let you know if I find out.

I have successfully paired a friend's iPhone 4S to my GMC Terrain Bluetooth and my Onstar FMV system. However, the Siri apparently now prevents Voice Dialing through these Bluetooth connections - there is a connection to Voice Dial like on the iPhone 4 but then Siri talks and the Bluetooth connections says "Call Ended" So no voice dailing - which is a non-starter.
Then today, I went into the AT&T store and the salesclerk and I tried to pair my SoundID 510 Headset to the new iPhone 4S. Tried just a couple of times but both times it said "unable to pair make sure your device is on and discoverable" which it was.
I was worried about the connectivity issues with the new Bluetooth 4.0 on the 4S phones and now I am not going to upgrade at the present time. I wonder how many other Bluetooth devices will not connect, because I have several things that operate on Bluetooth, like my keyboard, radio-music, iRadar unit.
Same issue with my Jabra. But it does connect to my jawbone.
I posted yesterday that I couldn't pair my 4S with my Camry. I since have done so successfully and have no problems. I also helped a friend pair his with his new Mini. Also no problems. Don't know why I couldn't do it the first time, but it does work.
I have the same problem trying to connect with my sonny in-dash player that I bought last year. Call apple support ... Useless ...recommend me to cal sonny????
Very disappointed ... I might have to return this piece of ****
I now have the same issue with my iPhone 4s seeing my brand new Mac Book Air!
Same issue with my Honda Odyssey. My 3gS paired flawlessly.
