How to install System 7.5.3 on iMac G3

I have an iMac G3 that currently is running Mac OS 9.2. I managed to scrounge up a copy of System 7.5.3 online (it was 19 parts to download). When i opened the installer to install System 7 on my iMac, it showed an alert saying,
"The system software 7.5.3 installer script does not recognize this macintosh. Please use the original disks that came with your computer. The installer cannot update the version of Macintosh System Software on the disk named "^0". Please remove the system."
I have no idea what to do. I do have the original restore disks for my iMac though. Please help me out with this one.

You cannot use 7.53 to start up an iMac G3, as it doesn't contain the resources necessary to start up an iMac. If you need to create a bootable disk for a computer which can start up from 7.53, download and install MachID Wannabe on your machine, restart, and then set the machine ID to 75. Install an universal system on the external drive(this option is available under Custom Install), and then reopen MachID Wannabe and reset your computer's ID. This disk cannot be used to start up your iMac; it will only start up systems which can run 7.53 without an emulator.
