Q: Sim Card Failure No Sim with iPhone 4S Anyone Else?

Apple has replaced my iPhone 4S  3 weeks ago and since then no more SIM FAILURE!

The unit is now perfect and the battery is also much better!!!!!

The sim card is still the same that was suspected to be bad in the previous unit.....

I have the same coming up frequently now since the last update.  SIM FAILURE, BAD SIM, RE INSERT SIM.

I turn the phone off and on again and this seems to fix it temporarily. Not good Apple

Im in the uk and had exactly what you described.

Tried new SIM - no different.

Installed and UPDATED to 5.1 beta from a link on here a few pages back.

Followed instructions and with same sim have had no problems for a few days.

Give it a go, its only about 5 pages back, with links and everything

thats what i used, dont forget to UPDATE, there are lots of horror stories from people who hit the restore button and killed their phones.

I did restore first, but everything is manageable. But for sure upgrade saves time and efforts. :)

Downloaded and updated to IOS5 BETA 3.

3 Hours so far so good. The real test will be when I go out tonight...

Will post in 48 hours if still successful.

I had constant SIM FAILURE problems on a daily basis whilst running IOS 5.1 Beta 2....all that malarkey about taping the Sim, the tray, disabling the PIN etc was a load of rubbish - I've updated to IOS 5.1 Beta 3 and it's worked since its release date (nearly a week ago) - issue has gone!!!

I'm having the same issue...

Am running 4s with 5.0.1.

First time apple user. What a let down. Basic function wont even work as a Phone. ***

AM UK Orange account holder. Am in Far east and am totally P----D Off with this.

Apple *** come on let us know what you are doing to repair this fault.

Thanks Joembaguio. Will try that when I get back to Hotel tonight. As my Company laptop has restricted access and I cant run Itunes on it.

iPhone 4s 16 gb, Sim Card Failure. iOS 5.0.1. At least three times a day!

This morning my Iphone was showing "No Sim", and I just did what the Apple solution suggested, and hopefully this will fix it.

Got my Iphone in Oct 2011, and then started to visit Apple store to fix my iphone monthly.

First month, the camera didn't work, so I went to the Apple store, they just replaced the camera.

Second month, WIFI stopped working, so I went to the Apple store again, then they replaced the iphone

Now the sim card problem, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I won't recommend anyone to buy an iphone, seriously, this is the beginning of a lont-term nightmare.
