Xcode upgrade succeeded to 4.2 but still showing 4.1?

Hello,

I have XCode 4.1 (4B110) installed on my MacBook Pro 13" (early 2011 model) with OS X Lion 10.7.2.

The AppStore indicated XCode 4.2 was available as a downloaded.

I upgraded and everything went without errors or warnings.

However, if I now start XCode, it still reports version 4.1 (4B110).

Also in "About XCode" it reports that it is still version 4.1 (4B110).

When I go back to the AppStore, it tells my XCode 4.2 is already installed on my MacBook Pro.

Anyone having any clues on this?

I assume it's still XCode 4.1 that's installed.

Is there any method in that I can force a download of XCode 4.2 again from the AppStore?

If so, how?

Kind regards,

emeu1

Hello 'nabegh'

I did. The message I get is:

Xcode 4.0 requires Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.

Install the Xcode Tools version that supports Mac OS X 10.7 Lion.

So that doesn't solve the problem.

Is the XCode installer maybe located in another folder so that I can run it from there?

Kind regards,
