It's all good - I'm simply not at that level of disussion. 2 days of standby with 3 hrs of use each day seems fine but you're not talking about 3G internet and calling - you usage is not properly qualified in that respect. Plus with manual fetch of mail and little social networking, that's all good, but then it seems in comparison with a netbook, you've basically traded screen real estate for... standby time - to each his own I guess - so maybe a good segment of iP4S users are into what I coin now "subnetbooks". But I thought those devices were about mobile social awareness i.e. things popping to indicate stuff that happens in the virtual world in real time. No offense mind you.
No, I'm all too familiar with the (very) little computer analogy. And I'm basically challenging a syllogism... which I could sum up like this:
P1 - It's a little computer (with many features I turn off)
P2 - My dated experience of the Android device yields little battery life
R - The iPhone4S has great battery life
Trying to make a point that the reality is more like :
P1 "Amazing" had X battery life
P2 "Picking where amazing left off" has X-1 battery life
P3 Newer Android handsets have comparable wifi battery life usage
P4 3G data mobility is luxury, we prefer the economic wifi at home or the office
R The new amazing can be amazing but is less than amazing in terms of battery life, which is further comparable to newer Android handsets in terms of wifi use with the economic users in mind...
Because I like you guys - a bit - I'll give you the solution. It's simply that you have to be fair with the arguments. It's on 3G data that the iP4S shines compared to Android devices... it's also about the app store and the integration quality of iOS. So this is why you should love your device, in my opinion. Wifi based arguments are simply baseless...
Good luck!
