Q: iPhone 4s Battery Life?

Someone said a good point let's just all relax, engineers will get it fixed sooner or later.

The battery life on my iPhone drops dramatically. I can lose easily 40-60% in just an hour. I like to play the app called Word Warp. It drains my iPhone 4s like a sieve.

If there is a cure, I would like to find it.

I have the same problem with my iPhone 4s, I've read lots of forums but haven't seen a positive response so far? i've tried turning off features having low brightness but it's not really helping?.. Can anybody help?

I have a 4S iphone and experiencing horrible battery performance as well. This is my 3rd iphone and have never had this poor of battery performance on any of my prior iphones.It seems to have a big drop in power even when it is on standby! I hope there is a solution to this fast!

When I set up my new 4S I did it as a new iCloud phone and noticed reduced battery life. Typical was at 50% after a few hours. After I turned off the reminders app locations the battery life increased to a acceptable level. It did seem to me that if I had a location based reminder that the GPS on the phone would stay active.

My 3G iphone gets better battery life than my 4s.  I don't know what the deal is but this needs to get fixed asap.

Do a full backup, then restore the 4S, then disable Location Services for: Reminders, Compass Calibration, Setting Time Zone.

Easily regains most of the battery life you're used to and is confirmed in several places.

I too are having major problems with battery on my phone. When I put it on charge it seams to overheat and go hot too hope this gets sorted soon

My iPhone 4s is behaving worse than most of the posts. I finally restored it and setup as a brand new phone (previous was restore from my old iPhone 4 settings. Didn't help. I've turned off every non-essential and my current battery level is at 42%. And I've had it on a charger multiple times since it was at 100% just 9.5 hours ago. It dropped 2% since I wrote 42%.

Gotta go charge. Apple, please help!

For me, the problem seems pretty clear.  About 1x/day, the baseband on my 4S crashes (according to the console log), causing an immediate loss of the data connection to 3G.  During this time, an address book entry gets corrupted and then the system goes crazy trying to resync but keeps failing due to the corrupted entry. During this time, the phone becomes noticably hot when running from battery.  Deleting and re-adding the afflicted iCloud or Exchange account solves it... until a day or two later when it crashes again! 

Otherwise, battery life seems similar to my 3GS, which was OK but not great.  But given that I've got notifications, 3 push email accounts, location services, etc, all running...  I had been looking forward to the new iPhone and being able to work a full day without recharging, but once I saw the full battery life specs with the decrease in standby time, I realized that I need to wait for iPhone 5S to substantially improve my battery life... 

BELIEVE ME OR NOT , after calling Apple canada twice today: 1 :for the apple care + plan (if i can upgrade

when available in Canada) i have only apple care plan.

he call me some not long time ago (apple support guy) suggest to me to buy a battery pack at cost price but not at store price. i said to him that i

have already order  one from fleebay a $10. pack (2000mah).

they know more(apple.ca)about this issue : it is like a vitus :spread out now here.

Great point on ical and/or exchange entries.  I have noticed this pattern as well.  Another "bad" byproduct of the upgrade is my constantly havin to "prune" my calendar with exagerated entries.  appears to only effect entire day entires. And in that, I only really notice it on my exchange calendar.  I get sometimes a dozen reentries of the same event.  I clean it up, they retrun.  and when they retrun, the battery drains and the phone gets very warm.

I'm all for listing the issues with a product but when it gets like this, a bunch of people whining and not reading the posts.  Who cares, take the time to read and learn and quit ********.   All the problems stated for the last 40 pages have been stated before and remedied for the most part....  There is obviously an issue somewhere but for me it's fixed with the help so far, Apple has already stated to numerous customers it's fixing the issue.....
