Well, the update is slowly "sinking in". Some users who can have improvements will end up triggering the conditions to make it work, whereas for the remaining users who still have trouble, this will soon become indicative of faulty hardware (or whatever) and they should have their phones replaced or refunded.
"People experiencing battery issues shouldn't be alarmed!" - They will sleep soundly. Hope you get it, it's a real good one!
Briefly commenting on this guy's post from Dubai a bit earlier on, I thought of another one: "What do you tell a guy in Dubai if 5.0.1 doesn't work for him? - Well, you're lucky you can still go back to Palm" lollll. haha.
Finally, as this will be settling down (?), I think the time has come for the awaited "video apology" from Apple's top brass to the "small number of users" who have hit the thread 306 157 times. And let's have it in HD with Apple's lossless recently open sourced AAC audio (cheers for that!) - because we want to see the tear in the eye and hear the tremolo in the voice. Apple could ask Wired.com to put it on their home page. I for one would perceive it as a sign of humility and respect for the (small) user base who has been suffering and all. I mean if RIM did it, Apple can do it better... with Imovie. Of course I make jokes about this but seriously it takes guts to do that and I would respect it a lot, it would go a long way into showing that changes are possible at Apple. I mean think different. So if not for the user base then for me?
Thank you!
