Q: iPhone 4s Battery Life?

My iPhone 4s battery seems terrible! Almost equivalent to my 3GS and it's terrible battery life. When I got my iPhone yesterday and restored from backup I noticed nothing really changed with minimal usage and standby! Is this normal or should I consider setting it up as a new phone because maybe something is running in the background that's causing it to drop a percentage every few minutes under light usage? Input would be great!

You may want to do the update, I tend to connect it to a machine and not do them OTA. After make sure to try the steps mentioned in previous post especially the RESETS.

    Best of LUCK

I don't have an Iphone 4S, but I met my mom at the Apple Store and it did help me go through. As I was walking away, she called me from a distance but I couldn't hear what she was saying. As for the problem I've had with the thermostat heating up too much, finally I didn't have to reset it, there was no problem with the hardware really, just needed to change the battery. Please Apple fix this soon!

    No...

Reset do not erase the phone.

maður, enginn vafi, en það ruglaður beina flís mína til að sjá brimbrettabrun svo lengi án þess að finna galla herbergi,og aftur, þannig að ég decamped löngu síðan til annars Galaxy og ég því betra fyrir . Jai fannst að lokum að cétait illasetja saman allt þetta og meira með pakkann á frímerkjum á vettvang - og hvernig uppfærslur þurfa CA rétt áður en filetMignon?

    cynderella,

you will not loose any of your apps, calendar, mail, data, etc.  that will all be maintained as is.  when you "reset all settings" (i.e. hard reset) you only loose basic system level settings (i.e. wallpaper, screen brightness, networks settings, etc).  it all gets reset to default.  follow my thread below and read my first few post carefully and follow the process step by step...  it worked for a lot of users so far to significantly improve their standby battery life drain...

after the reset is complete, you need to completely drain the battery and fully recharge it afterwards... good luck.

You may need to call your carrier, I think a good place to start is at this location. Make sure to include HW ID if they need it. Write it down or get it off the box.

    Thanks, best of luck.

    Mais bonne chance!

I can see that google translator works as badly in one direction

I did this and it worked pretty well though the battery life still ***** compared to my friends running iOS 4 on an iPhone 4.

I did the settings reset, let my phone drain to 0, fully charged it and then left it over night. The results? 95% left after 10 hours 11 minutes of standby. MUCH better. I thought this was great, until I started using my phone and then the battery loss went back to normal. I think it has something to do with some background process that's initiated once you begin using your phone again after a charge or something. Idk.

But anyway, the battery is 30% right now with 3 hours 49 minutes usage and 20 hours 43 minutes standby. I feel like it should still be around 50% but whatever. I'm good with something that will at least last me a day.

    <INIT: *** COUNT:***>

Sorry to hear that, if you contacted the Carrier they may be the best point of contact, especially if the purchase was delivered to your location. (I would figure that it was to your address.)

    Try to do the following.

    Reset using Settings>General>RESET.

    Do a Hard Reset

Drain the battery (SEEMS THAT IS NOT AN ISSUE) and than set it to charge for 24 hours.

    Best of luck.
