Q: iPhone 4s Battery Life?

Proof of fixed battery on my iPhone 4S:

I used cellular data for about 20 minutes and I had WiFi on for probably 15 minutes. I texted twice and called once. du is a telecommunication service provider in Dubai if you were wondering.

This looks like you converted your smart phone into a super expensive iPod! You have just paid a lot of money for a iPOD with some limited capabilities of a dumb phone!

As one may know that battery life issue on iPhone 4S is related to using the cellular data over 3G!!!

One should consider the battery life issue fix on iPhone 4S only when one leaves all the settings the same way when one takes the iPhone 4s out of box and the battery life is in close range of 200 hours as it is in specification!

This forum is like a meeting place for Apple worshipers which try to convince anyone here that iPhone 4s is the best phone ever and that turn off the settings which you do not need!

Let me write it again! I have been writing this here since last year! The vast majority of iPhone 4s are affected by the battery life issue and/or static noise issue which cannot be fixed by iOS updates! There has been plenty of iOS 5.X.X betas and realeases which have not fixed the battery life issue and/or the static noise issue! Apple has dropped the ball with iPhone 4s! Even Wozniak has noticed the battery life issue of iPhone 4s! How many months/years does one still need to see that iOS cannot fix the issues of iPhone 4s? 2 years? 4 years?

I find it so weird that when one takes the iPhone 4S out from a box has a lot of settings on by default BUT if one wants to use the iPhone 4s in real life has to turn off a lot of settings just to be able to get lousy ~36 hours of battery life!!!! It looks like the Apple worshipers with their attitude of "turn off settings which you do not need" just show that Apple did wrong by letting those settings on be default. One the other hand why one would turn off a lot of settings which by default are on after he or she has paid a lot of  money for a phone which is supposed to be smartphone but actually has to be reduced to dumb phone by turning off so many settings? Bragging?

Also the iPhone 4s battery life specified in specification is so far from the truth that it sets a record among all mobile phone manufacturers.

The battery life of iPhone 4s is so pathetic compared to iPhone 4!!!!

You should give it a try. My battery is flawless now. No issues at all and I have everything turned on!

I am really really sorry but it does not work! My iPhone 4s lasts around 30 hours which means that basically I have to charge it every single evening. If I forget to charge it one evening I am screwed badly! It is such a joke to have a phone that has only 15% of battery life from the specification!

I am sure that the battery by itself of iPhone 4s is fine. The issues of battery life of iPhone 4s is when one is using Cellular Data over 3G and Cellular data is on all the time!

Have you check your iPhone 4s for the static noise issue which is a hardware issue? I am pretty sure that your iPhone 4s is affected too because ~80% of iPhone 4s are!

You keep repeating the same incorrect information.  It is getting a bit pathetic.  Why can't you accept that some users have solved their battery problems, and most NEVER HAD THEM?

You responded to a user who was quite negative about his 4S just a few pages back, and has found a solution that works for him.  Now you are calling HIM a liar too.

Right guys i tried what appleshxt757 said and it did not work for me :-( how ever i have tried sumat else i restored mine back to 5.0.1 (9A405) i have left everything switched on even email is on push i have 3G and wifi on its been off charge for over 1 hour now and it is still on 100% im going to leave it on over night now and see how much it loses over night i have posted a few times over the last two months im genuine not full of s h i t.....

Interesting, Have you experienced it with the AC? I typically use the ac adaptor on nightstand when bedtime. Actually now that you mentioned, I have had it on laptop before and it stayed on 100% whole time it was connected. Of course not overnight so I just figured not long enough. Other thing to mention is I can see mine go to 100% and if I awake several times during the night and look its always on 100% up until maybe 6:50am I have seen it then maybe 7:15 or so it drops to 97% . That fast. No backup running or anything. As stated I just unplug and plug back and it goes back  to 100% then all good for the rest of the day. Sorta gave up trying to figure out why that time of day. Figured maybe it was due to the length of time it was on charge OR it gets to 100, then drops, then back to 100 all during the night and I just didnt notice and it happens to be at its discharge state at that time of day. I may try the USB and see what happens. Others see this behavior too so not sure.

Not sure if it matters, but how are your recharging?  I use the USB port on my laptop, which is plugged in, and on (no sleep mode) all the time, and only once have I seen the phone with anything other than 100% in the morning.

I have checked for static and mine is fine, no static. Also I use 3g data all the time and thats fine too. Thanks for your suggestion though.
