It became apparent this morning that text messaging on my new iPhone 4S is not working. My wife tried to send text message from non-iphone and I never recieved them. My brother tried with his iPhone 4 with OS 5 but I never got the messages. I am not sure how to fix this problem. Any idea why it's not working?

I am having the same problem I wish I knew how to correct it
As far as I can see, open your settings app, open the messaging app, turn imessages off then back on, and make sure send as SMS is enabled so when imessage is unavailable you can send and receive in sms form rather then the message just getting lost in the ether!
Also, check received at and ensure your number is displayed and within the received at section, ensure caller id is set to your phone and not your email. Hopefully that fixes the problem.
