iOS5-App store iPad not downloading

I have an odd iPad 1 iOS5 behavior...Tried all the following on my iPhone 4 iOS5 on my wi-fi. Not a problem.

When I download an app from the store: New, iCloud, or purchased:

1. It attempts to download (install, AppleID, etc...)

2. Goes in to "waiting..."

3 Never changes to "loading..."

I have switch to my neighbor's network but no effect.

I have reset my iPad twice with no improvements.

Any others having this issue?

(One issue I had with installing iOS5 was that it locked up, threw a non-specific error and I had to Hard Reset it)

On the iPad go to Settings, App Store tap on your AppleID and sign out. Then completely power off the iPad.

Power back on , go to Settings, App Store and sign back in. Maybe this process will reset something to get it going.

I have the exact same problem with my 4th gen iPod touch now running iOS 5. I tried what you suggested earlier and it had no effect. Any other ideas?

Thanks. I did this and it helps cause it's moved past "waiting..." but it still never gets to download.

It's now just stuck at "loading..."

So strange...It's working now. I don't know what would make the difference.

In order to get by before...I was doing all the updates on my Mac then cable syncing the iPad.

Sorry I don't have a good answer.

Part of my investigation:

I was wondering if iCloud or clearwire might have something to do with capping the data but I couldn't prove that out...

iCloud is off. No Wi-Fi sync...

One thing I did was to put a light timers on my switch & WI-FI modem. They reset every night while use is minimal...I notice that my connectivity via Clearwire has really improved.

I had the same problem... Rebooting did not help, but signing out of the app store (under settings) and then signing back in again did the trick.
