Well - it doesn't seem to work on my new Iphone 4S so far.
A bit dissapointed!
Hi, i've just noticed mine doesn't work neither, i really hope apple - or sennheiser ? though i don't really see what sennheiser could do to fix this since it's just a device with no software that could be upgraded - will fix this fast as they can, i've just BOUGHT the headset like a few months ago, it's very expensive and so is the new iphone 4s...
if anyone has a solution... thanks a LOT in advance.
i'm not a bit dispointed here, i'm REALLY dispointed 😟
I use my MM450/550 from Sennheiser every day without any problems. Hove you tried to delete the pairing on phone (if any) and redo the process? 🙂
Hey Hostrup, thanks for your answer, you're a lucky sennheiser/iPhone 4s user then ! 🙂
Unfortunately my problem was - and still is btw - that my iPhone 4s doesn't even detect the sennheiser device, so i'm afraid there's really nothing i can do from my phone (no pairing process to do or redo) 😟
Well i guess should go to an Apple genius bar as soon as i have a bit of time and try to see if they can help. For now i've been using the headphones with the wire, no more bluetooth for me, meaning no more remote controls neither... (>__<)
If there's anything other users having the same problem should know about this issue that the genius bar "geniuses" tell me about, i'll write back
Anyway thanks again, see you, if you or anyone has another idea... pls help 😉

Hi, so I got the iPhone 4S and connected my Sennheiser mm 450 without problems. Just press the on/off button on the headphone for more than 5 sec to set it in search mode. then select in the iphone the headphones and link them.
They work just fine. But, with Siri, it seems not quite straight forward since I have to actually press the home button in order to exit Siri. Therefore the remote control fuction workes only until you want to close it. However, you can simply turn Siri off and use the iPhone 4S in the same way you used your iPhone 4 ,3GS and so on.
cheers,
Kai
Hi Anne,
have you tried?:
Just press the on/off button on the headphone for more than 5 sec to set it in search mode. then select in the iphone the headphones and link them.
Hey azorenkai, thank you SO MUCH for your answer, it seems you just found the problem : SIRI.
of course i had tried to pair the headphones by pressing the on/off button more than 5 secs etc. (i knew the process since i did it the first time i paired it with my "old" iphone 4.) Yet nothing happened, the device was not detected.
But one thing i hadn't tried yet, was to deactivate SIRI and check if the sennheiser was detected, and it was ! Unbelievable. I find it quite frustrating not to be able to use siri AND my bluetooth headphones but i've tried to put SIRI on again and both siri & sennheiser seem to work for the moment.
I can't believe it was so simple, I also can't believe how much of 'do it yourself' geniuses Apple thinks we are (well some of us are for sure, but most of us aren't). I am not an expert, but i'm also not a total dumb and usually i pretty much know how to use (and sometimes fix) electronic devices.
But here, with the iphone 4s, first i had to understand how to fix the fast decreasing battery issue (so you're supposed to find the localisation system service trick that consists in turning off some default presets ? really ?), then this bluetooth / SIRI incompatibility. I don't get it. I love apple products a lot, but really, sometimes, i don't get it...
ANYWAY, thank you again so much, i feel stupid (one of the iPhone bugfixes side effects i guess) for the solution was so simple, but yeah, thank you for avoiding me to go bother a guy at the genius bar and wast both our time...
Merci beaucoup azo et très bonne journée ! as we say in Paris 😉

Just received my MM 450 this evening. It paired instantly with my iPhone 4S. Performs all normal functions including Siri tasks.
I've found that the music is reproduced with the greatest fidelity when Equalization (Settings> Music> EQ) on the iPhone is set to "Flat." There is a slight hiss associated with the noise cancellation
To activate Siri, tap the Bluetooth button, wait for Siri to launch, speak the command, then tap the Bluetooth button to execute the command. Tap the Bluetooth button twice to cancel Siri.
Not 'sometime but VERY OFTEN Apple guys forgets that Apple conquered our heart and had our money (mine by 1984, when I bought my first Lisa for 5 time what I had to spend for my Citroen LNA, a proud Pininfarina Coupé with boxer engine!!) BECAUSE OF IT'S USER FRIENDLINESS and ease to pair printers, as in a MEMORABLE contest/challenge against… another pretending operating system, i can't remember well the name, something that remembers storms, wind… anyway not worth to be remembered, for sure not 'memorable'.
I became an 'evangelist', contributing to spread around the legend of Mac, the REAL CAPITAL of Apple (not to mention Steve itself!) and we were telling that Apple's success was based more on the operating system than by hardware.
Now I would say 'on a MENTALITY' of empathy with 'the rest of us', based, yes, on 'making true our dreams' but also by reading our hearts by a kind of 'telepathic communication' (personally I ever knew which 'next toy' Steve had in his drawer and, I'm near sure :-), and I sent him 'telepathically many good ideas, I'm SUUUREE (but I'm waiting by 2 yeas the next MacBook Air with the 'touch screen keyboard/iPad like' and an operating system which puts on it the menu, the dock, the dashboard and mission controls, the alerts and, by choice, some 'always open' chat apps or so, leaving the upper screen practically free for full screen front application).
Hopefully the guys will be aware about it and restart to 'talk with us and understand our wishes'!
