Problem with Reminders not appearing in Notifications

I am having a problem in that Reminders are not appearing in the Notification Center, on both my iPad 2 and iPhone 4, both of which are running iOS 5. Of note is that for every other app that I have in which Notifications are turned on, I am getting the appropriate Notification when I swipe down from the top of the iPhone or iPad screen.

Here's my set up: in iCal on my MacBook Air, I created two new iCloud Reminder lists: Work and Personal. I moved over all of my tasks from my other task app. I set up the iPhone and iPad to sync Reminders through iCloud as well, and all tasks that I entered in iCal appeared successfully in the Reminder apps on both the iPhone and iPad.

On both the iPhone and iPad, I went into Settings>Notifications and moved Reminders into the "In Notification Center" section. Then going into Reminders, I have Notification Center turned On, Show > 10 items, Alert Style: Banner and View in Lock Screen: On.

However, as I said at the outset, my Reminders are NOT appearing in the Notfication Center. I for the life of my can't figure out what's wrong. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I just checked this, and saw the same thing. I did some testing, and it'll show up only if there's a reminder set, and that reminder hasn't passed yet. Further, I noticed that the reminder set for today was marked as "yesterday" in the pull-down.

Thanks Thomas. I was also able to duplicate what you stated. Reminders don't appear to me to be ready for prime time yet. I'll go back to my old method for managing tasks/to-do lists, which worked well for me.

Open Reminders on the iPhone, then select the reminder in your list. The default setting for Remind me is Never. Select on a day and a time and it works.

I am finding that when reminders are created in iCal, they do not show up in Notifications. However, when they are created on the iPhone a time seems to be automatically inserted with the reminder. If they have a time, they show up in Notifications.

I don't want times on my reminders so I use iCal almost exclusively to create the reminders but, as stated above, this means they don't show up in the Notifications screen (the screen visible after swiping from top to bottom on the iPhone. Does anyone know how to have non-time reminders show up in the swipe screen in Notifications?

My issue seems to be over due tasks that don't show. They show up on the day they are due, but don't hang around in the reminder pane after they are due. Then I keep missing overdue tasks unless I specifically look in the reminder app. The badge icon shows the number of tke, why can notification centre?
