What's in 360P?
Do you mean you're watching a video such as on YouTube?
If so that's an isue with YouTube, not with your phone. The phone will display video up to 1080, but if YouTube are only sending out a 360P video stream then that's what you're going to get - you can't magically create a 1080P video from 360P source.
yes i put it on Facebook and YouTube and both came out in 360p. Can the iPhone not display videos in 1080p on the computer only on the phone?
DId you upload it as 1080P? Do you get an option to load it at 1080P on your desktop system?
Even if there's a higher resolution version, the iPhone 4S has a screen resolution of 960 x 640, so you can't display a 1080P image on screen anyway - only output it through the HDMI adapter.
For the iPhone 4S with iOS 5, are there any ways to change the resolution you are shooting at? I have read that it makes a difference if you hold the phone up and down vs. side to side when shooting the video. Anybody know if there is any truth to this? I want to record in 1080p all the time because its so awesome! You can always convert it down lower, but not upconvert to 1080p out of a lower quality video....
That would be stupid to not allow full HD on a computer when it is full HD on the phone. Apple wouldn't do that. First of all, be sure you are using your rear camera, not the low-quality FaceTime front camera. Second, check your settings app for the options for photo and video. Make sure you have the newest version of iOS (iOS 5.1 beta 2 or iOS 5.0.1 as of January 8 2012) and try again. Make sure you are also using the Camera app, not the lock screen camera or the camera in an app such as Messages; Especially not a third-party app. If the problem persists, ask Apple, they will show you the simple solution you are just glancing over. (As long as your iPhone isn't illegal, such as jailbreaking... then that could very easily be your problem right there)
This is determined by FaceBook and YouTube when uploading a video from your iPhone to those sites. Being connected to an available wi-fi network when uploading the video will also make a difference compared to uploading the video when connected to your carrier's cellular network.
What is the quality when the video is imported from your iPhone's Camera Roll with your computer and the imported video is viewed with your computer?
After fiddling with this it will upload at full 1080p its just a pain. You have to get the video files to your computer and then manually upload them to YouTube or Facebook. No more easy uploading from the phone as it downgrades the video quality. I used to use an awesome app called Pixelpipe but it is pretty much useless now as the max file size for uploading is 100mb. On a 1080p video that is about 20 seconds of footage...if that. If pixelpipe fixes that limitation it would be awesome!

If you set up Photostream on your computer then getting the videos to the computer is automatic.
I am not sure that YOUtube even supports anything over 720P.
Videos are not included with Photo Stream. Photo Stream is for photos only.
