Nov 10, 2011 5:18 PM in response to Imhawthornby Shawn83,This can't be all phones otherwise there would be more complaints and this issue would be posted on all Mac sites. I will try a third time if the static is still there or just as bad on the new one I will wait for a while before going back. My friends has static but it's not nearly as bad as mine.

Nov 11, 2011 12:35 AM in response to JamiDianneby Andy-n81,O2 have finally swopped mine after making me go through sim
changes/restore etc. They deny any problem. Poor quality audio, white noise and echoing were the faults. Received replacement even updated to 5.0.1 and guess what this one is echoing and still suffering white noise on calls. Ridiculous, I can't believe it isn't being acknowledged

Nov 11, 2011 6:53 AM in response to JamiDianneby BudNTX,Same problem in Houston. It almost sounds like the earpiece speaker in the top of the phone is blown. It started after one week of use. My wife's 4S is fine - both were purchased at the same time. ***????

Nov 11, 2011 7:36 AM in response to jcm04hby BudNTX,I don't think the color has anything to do with it (Mine is black). I've worked with audio equipment for years and I swear it sounds like the little speaker is blown. Is that possible?

Nov 11, 2011 11:01 AM in response to Shawn83by porfiry99,I've heard the noise on every phone I've had, and I'm now on my 4th. Each one was new out of the box so, at least for me, they're not recycling someone else's returned phone. I'll continue to return and exchange every two weeks until the issue is fixed.

Nov 11, 2011 1:04 PM in response to porfiry99by Shawn83,haha, I got my third phone today, still has static, maybe not as loud though. I had a real hard time exchanging this one, maybe its a Canada thing but they need to be able to replicate it at store, They did by recording a video in the apple bathroom but still didn't want to give me a new one. They were like, what if the new one had it. I said I would just have to deal since this is clearly a hardware issue and all phones have it.

Nov 11, 2011 3:22 PM in response to JamiDianneby AC Rempt,So I did a factory restore before I went to my Genius appointment, and now the static is gone. Surely that can't be forever, can it? Please?
