Nov 11, 2011 9:28 PM in response to JamiDianneby Matthijst,It does seem related to the antenna's, I think: whenever I'm experiencing static, I can make it stop (or become far less) by changing the position of my fingers on the antennaband. You hear some kind of click and the the sound becomes more clear, as if it's switching between the antennas.
Humor me: which hand do you guys hold the phone when calling?
I use left.
And as stated above, please report the issue using (maybe point them to the clips below):
http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
Or if you go to a genius appointment, take a recording of the static (mp3):

Or point to this video (same mp3, as video):

Nov 11, 2011 10:12 PM in response to JamiDianneby rlw1974,I've got static on my new 4gs. They sent me out a new one in an AppleCare box. A customer care representative said it was a reassembled one from good parts. This is clearly not something I want, especially when I paid nearly $500 for the XXXX phone.
It ***** they're not recognizing the problem and doing something about it.

Nov 12, 2011 1:47 AM in response to Matthijstby autolight,I'm using left hand, problems with static, seems to (most of the time) when I'm moving my hand placement I can make the static ande echo come and go away. But I've returned my phone(s), I can't wait for an update or a replacement phone (if there ever will come such a thing). Sorry to say because it's a great phone otherwise but I need a phone that I can make calls with...

Nov 13, 2011 4:23 AM in response to JamiDianneby LiamLinden,The static / echo buzz is must more inside then outside my house. It look likes the 4s is more sensitive for other wireless signals. Anyone mention this too?

Nov 14, 2011 2:17 AM in response to JamiDianneby Jaricketts,Same problem here, only intermittent, and seems related to the proximity sensor as only starts when the phones upto my ear... dont even have to be making a call.
Loathed to take it back for a replacement as it seems they all have it? what do people think?

Nov 14, 2011 3:07 AM in response to JamiDianneby antonio from madrid,Same problem in my iPhone 4s 32GB white bought from an Applestore in Spain.
Apple must do something! Preferably in the following order:
1º Acknowledge the issue
2º Try a software related solution
3º Try a hardware related solution.
