    Submit feedback http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

No answer from apple so far, right? And it seems to be at least hudreds phones with this problem. Maybe it is not significant and doesn't deserve an answer

I hear the static noise using the mic - not through the speakerphone. I am in my third iPhone 4s (AT&T 16GB black). All three exhibit the same problem. I have the dropped call problem. Hope Steve Jobs were alive and do something about it. Apple don't understand that they are losing customers for many problems with iPhone 4S.

Same here. iPhone 4s White, 16Gb. O2 Germany. Called Apple Store today and what they said was just asked me to change the SIM and reset the phone.

Apple, please do something !! I consider this issue as more fatal than iPhone4 Antenna problem (where we can solve it by using bumper).

I just tried being on a call using headphones. No static. If switched back to use the usual earpiece on the phone and I got mild static. Next I plugged back my headphones, and again the static was gone. Something tells me that this is an issue with some component around earpiece? Its definitely not the hardware...

Well, I am just as lost as all the others are here..

it's not the earpiece. you may hear the noise around the apple logo from the back case. maybe it's an internal component..don't know which..:(

My girlfriend was in the same boat. After the 4th iphone, she still had the buzzing and static. It is very unfortunate since she's been with Apple since the beginning. We returned the phone today and hope that Apple will eventually address the problem instead of ignoring it. She was able to return it within the 30 days to not be locked into a contract. So weird a lot of others don't hear this problem. We've received the phones from different stores, primarily in Texas and even got on when visiting California. No difference same exact problems and of course not one of the genius bar guys has heard of the problem...yeah right....We will see what happens. She may be forced to find a new family..Android.

Yes it really *****. Should I feel bad that I was blessed with great hearing? Not at all. I have experienced this problem with several different iphones and no one at Apple store has heard of the problem. I don't believe that for one second based on the different forums that are going on regarding this issue. So it looks like Apple is ignoring this issue. Well for now, they will have one less customer. I returned mine within the 30 days. The static and cracking is too annoying and shouldn't exist...period. I bet some others hear it but may not be that bothered by it or enjoying the other features of the camera so much that they have decided to just deal with it...is the trade off worth it? Not for me. What do the rest of you think?

i would have returned the iphone if I was not locked into a contract. My 3GS serves me pretty well except for the screen resolution and SIRI which only works with a fast network to Apple's servers. My contract with the Telco basically overwrites Apple's objective of providing a "no questions asked refund policy" which I believe is meant to discourage bad publicity by customers over unforeseen product problems.

Apple is either listening only to the good stuff and ignoring us, or hoping that we give in or give up while waiting for everyone else to slowly forget the problems.

Is there any governing body besides having the media and bad publicity to address this? Will Apple be proactive to help address this? I called my local Singapore consumer association (CASE) and I was told that as present the lemon law has not been passed. This is so unfortunate. The other option is to hope and wait that Apple does what is right according to its conscience.

At the end of the day, I paid for a faulty product and i do not have a way to return it or get it fix because firstly, Apple has not even acknowledged the problem and it seems that Apple is not doing anything about it. Also exchanging the product for 3 times did me no good as all 3 phones had the SAME problem. So does it mean that the Quallity Control failed 100% if assuming there were only 3 phones produced by the factory? 3 out of 3 consecutively is not an event. It is a not a coincedence. It is a pattern.

I'm thinking that we are just little voices that Apple is unaware. Maybe it takes a big organization to get the attention of another big organization. That's why competition from Android and Samsung are so important and helps you and me to get better options than to be tied down with a giant who will not move at our tiny voices.

I think that instead of trying to make apple react by complaining on this forum with no result, we should all of us send an email to samsung to tell them how bad is this issue...

They could use it better than us to make it known by Apple... It lasts since too long and we can not accept that anymore!

I think this problem is really a hardware issue which cannot be solved by software update. I wonder if this problem happens on all iphone 4s or just some % of it as when I called the App Store they react as if it is unknown issue and unaware about it. I cannot believe million of iphone 4s sold and only few are complaining. If any of you have replaced phone which works without any problem then please let us know.

Apple doesn't react on this issue probably because they have no solution over this problem ? or are we those unlucky % just too small ??

iPhone 4S 32GB white with T-Mobile in Germany

Very frustrating static in telephone calls. Excessive noise when recording videos in totally quiet environments. Can reproduce the static coming from the back of the device near the Apple logo when loading webpages while only on 3G Network. Issues do not exist while loading webpages over wireless lan. However, turning of cellular data does not solve the problem. I vote for hardware issue and will have it replaced immediately, over and over again if necessary. Completely unacceptable. This is far worse then the iPhone 4's "antennagate" !

Actually, antennagate made it really big yet apple needn't have to recall a single unit. It was definitely a design problem and affected customers. Apple overcame it by giving out hardware to cover the phone people bought. Customers merely bought the phone as it is and having to use a plastic to cover it is a compromise to the looks of the phone. Why dont apple design the phone with the plastic covers at the sides to begin with. It is not what customers want when they bought the phone based on what was advertised. Anyway antennagate will always be associated to apple iPhone 4 for years and decades for future generations to read about. Hence staticgate is nothing in comparison even though the problem may be worse off than antennagate. It is obvious that apple is handling the media really well this time. By right they should handle the customers better instead. Better still, start with the non problematic design and then keep a stringent quality control.
