Nov 23, 2011 9:12 AM in response to niteshawkby BasWind,Let's do it (Facebook page). I'll be one of the first to join. I'll bet that would really attract some attention. Especially when we connect it to a twitter account :)
Who creates the page?

Nov 23, 2011 9:14 AM in response to BasWindby dxironman,What if you didnt buy direct from apple? Are you pretty much stuck with the phone until apple does something about it?
-
Nov 23, 2011 9:18 AM in response to dxironmanby slind,If you did not directly buy it from Apple you can have it replaced at an original Apple retail store nontheless.
Just made an appointment for tomorrow. It's a three hours ride by train from where I live -.- .

If science and mathematics had elements or variables called luck, then our science is purely luck and not science anymore. if apple's product is based on luck to work, then it is a maybe why apple calls them "magical".

Nov 23, 2011 9:29 AM in response to BasWindby niteshawk,Before creating the facebook group, we need to consider the law perspective, we need someone who understand more about the law and able to write flawless statements to attract Media and Apple attentions.
@slind
Better make sure by calling them that they don't reject you and asked you to return the phone from where you've bought it just like what they did to me.

Nov 23, 2011 9:33 AM in response to niteshawkby slind,You made an appointment via phone with the apple hotline at a specific store? And they told you there to bring it back to where it was originally bought? Is this correct?
So your advice would be to call the store instead of the hotline again?
-
Nov 23, 2011 9:48 AM in response to slindby niteshawk,Yes slind.
I bought my phone by O2 with contract. Called the hotline and made an appointment at a specific shop. Went to the shop and waited for 20 mins, they said crappy stuff. The static problem is probably due to my O2 sim and they are out of stock with iPhone 4s white 16Gb. They asked me if I want a refurbished item as replacement, which I totally rejected. Then they asked me to return it to O2.
Went back to office with full of dissapointment, they way i walk out the door, i saw some guys got brand new white iPhone 4s. Not sure if it is 16Gb or not.
Maybe it was just my unlucky day... and it is the only apple store in my town.

Nov 23, 2011 11:55 AM in response to JamiDianneby tomasz17,I don't know what to do. I can return my iphone for a full refund until 29 November or wait for the so-called patch which I'm not sure will make things better. I believe the problem is unacceptable for a phone at such a price.
-
Nov 23, 2011 12:23 PM in response to tomasz17by - fabius -,If I were you, I'd wait until 28th november. If no solution is found by that date, I'll ask for a full refund.
I can't stand a phone making noise during calls...
You can then follow this thread, and when the magic wand of Apple solves the problem, you can rebuy it.
...Maybe you'll have found a different phone that makes no noise during phone calls...

Nov 23, 2011 2:02 PM in response to - fabius -by CoryAM,Just to bring it home here, I have some vids that i've taken from the 4S and uploaded to YouTube to confirm and spread the word a bit about this issue. I'm sure none of you need to hear more of the static but if you would like to confirm the same noise that others are hearing, there it is -- Clear as the ringing in your ears!

Can't deny the problem for much longer if we can't even get a clear video without having these sounds recorded.
BTW, if you'd like your sounds recorded as well, all you need to do is to turn off WiFi, go to a quiet room, push for your email over the 3G network and start rolling the video camera. Record however much you'd like and voila! Play it back for all those apple employees who say the ringing is all in our heads! Good luck!
Also an update! I replaced my phone for the 3rd time (4th phone) AAAANNNNDD... same problem. Apple even gave me a new SIM card to bring to AT&T to swap. I did the swap just an hour ago and no change. I guess there are 30 days to return the 4S with refund, so unless they offer an explicit fix or recall for this problem in the next 15 days, I will be returning it. So long iPhone!
